I love Doug’s matter of fact manner of speaking. It’s relatable and honest.
The fact that people have to be scared about getting there “internet reputation” ruined is honestly disgusting. The fact your life means more on the internet rather then real life shows you where this world is headed . Sorry you had to go thru that homie the internet is a pimp and were its bitch .
This comes to mind...
Gypsies, tramps and theves
Half of the people who buy these cars beat the shit out of them, the other half don't drive them at all.
Those Ferraris are pieces of shit. If you spend that kind of money on a car it better go a hundred thousand miles without a peep from it wanting anything but scheduled maintaining. Oil changes, brake pads and air filters.
Doug, I discovered yre channel and like your simple and clear way to explain things....good job!
Selling cars was the longest 3 months of my life. A den of narcissists, criminals & psychopaths!!!!
Buddy that shit happens everywhere in the world specially where you find loads of super cars. Go to Dubai and see half the cars for sale should be salvaged to a certain point ofc. Im nt talking very expensive cars. But 458 488 huracans aventadors even mpowers amgs its crazy
Doug, you get scammed quite a bit I see. How are you still above water?? I mean jeeeez. If I saw you coming to check out a car I had , probably would run away. 😆 kidding
I love all car stories. I hate that it's so easy to cheat.
It's not legally fraud unless the seller lies about something that has a material impact on the deal. Withholding information is not fraud. It would have been fraud to say that no work had ever been done on the car. The buyer failed to do due diligence. It sucks, but there is a reason the lawyer did not pursue this.
I don’t know all of the guys on vinwiki by name as I mostly listen to this while I’m working, but I’ve always really enjoyed this guy in particular. No nonsense and honest.
I just got screwed on a 8100$ 2018 Kia. The guy only wanted to meet at night time and left 6 miles in the tank so I could test drive it far or go fast, 10 min later I buy it and drive it to the gas station, on my way home I go above 55mph and the steering wheel starts shaking, I let go of the steering wheel and it pulls to the right hard, next morning I go o ur side to wash it and there’s so much scratches and tiny dents my stomach turned. It’s been 2 days and it’s hard to go to work in the morning, it’s all I can think about and it hurts
I buy and sell classic cars on a small scale (10-15 a year) as an aside to my garage business and i feel the general public would rather believe lies and flannel , when you try to stick to the truth it seems counterproductive, trouble is i cant help but be straight and honest as i dont want people coming back saying this or that - i want to be able to look everyone in the eye and say what ive done is right. I can well believe that story about the guy paying up even though hes been told it wasnt matching numbers, as they want the lies to be true so paying 10k more makes it so - the trouble is the honest man is on the receiving end of the whining!
U got F-ed by professional Ferrari dealers. Admit it. Oh ur admitting it right now? Who’s the dealer? Did the courts make you sign an NDA bigger than your D?
It's hard to be honest in the car business when everyone around you are liars. I was the worst salesman at a used car dealer because I was honest. Customers would get mad at me for telling them the truth. I still love cars and help people find good cars.
Lol at the 996 GT3 that are my photos :-D (hi Ed!)
I would never buy a used exotic car because most if not all of them have scewed records. Then again, everyone screws everyone. Maybe I should buy it and then do exactly what others are doing?
