This dynamic action-thriller directed by Oscar(R) winner Steven Soderbergh (Traffic) boasts a talented cast that includes Channing Tatum (GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra), Ewan McGregor (The Ghost Writer), Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class), Antonio Banderas (The Legend of Zoro), Bill Paxton ("Big Love"), Michael Douglas (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps), Michael Angarano (Almost Famous); and introduces mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar Gina Carano as Mallory Kane, in a demanding lead role that has her performing her own high-adrenaline stunts. Mallory Kane is a highly trained operative who works for a government security contractor in the dirtiest, most dangerous corners of the world. After successfully freeing a Chinese journalist held hostage, she is double crossed and left for dead by someone close to her in her own agency. Suddenly the target of skilled assassins who know her every move, Mallory must find the truth in order to stay alive. Using her black-ops military training, she devises an ingeniousand dangeroustrap. But when things go haywire, Mallory realizes she'll be killed in the blink of an eye unless she finds a way to turn the tables on her ruthless adversary.

La ex marine Mallory Kane (Gina Carano) es una agente secreto que trabaja para el sector privado, una experta en artes marciales a la que contratan diferentes gobiernos para llevar a cabo peligrosas misiones "extraoficiales". Una de sus últimas misiones fue la de liberar a un disidente chino secuestrado en Barcelona. Pero la operación tendrá unas consecuencias inesperadas, tanto para ella como para todos los altos cargos involucrados en la organización del rescate.
The movie is absolute blast! And for me, it got closest ever believable in the Female's ability to win in "real" male VS female fight. It get's even better because they actually made me believe they were truly going on each other! I was shocked by the violence unleashed at poor Gina, no remorse. She was no Mary Sue character that never gets hurt, I could feel every impact! On the other side, she also has height and some (sexy) weight backing her up (not some 110lb kid beating up 230lb muscly men with ease) and we all know she was UFC champion. Simply, it was believable! No other movie made me believe that the woman could, and would have won any violent physical "altercation" in "wanna be serious" movies. SciFi, Comedies and wacky action movies or superheroes don't count, nor do I care. In the ones presenting themselves as "realistic" it takes too much away for me to "enjoy" the movie at all. This one was also presenting itself as "serious", but Gina got skills, sexy muscles and weight that certainly would give her at least some fighting chance even against combat trained and physically developed man. She's a wonder woman, what can I say ;), it worked well. "Disclaimer" Ok, I admit, I have platonic crush on Gina. She could beat my ass everyday and I would still cherish our moments together XD.

In my opinion one of the best sequence of scenes in any TV show. The death of Charles 'Haywire' Patoshik. The setting, the situation, the music. Everything about this scene is pure gold. Goosebumps every time.

This piece is based off the idea of imagination gone out of control. How much chaos can be fit into one piece? From chaos comes beauty and from beauty comes madness again.Throughout the piece there is this motif played by the marimba that serves as a small sense of stability through the piece; this leads to erratic entrances and sudden dynamic changes. Finally the piece's melody is played by the first trumpet. From trills to glisses this piece is what happens when your imagination goes a little out of control.
