i tried everything in this video but i still have the popping sound almost sounds like a metronome
Hey man, thank you!!! I have been using studio one 5 about six months now when I started recording I did not understand anything about recording software and I mean nothing at all. Six months in and I have recorded about 20 original songs came out pretty good I put them on YouTube seem to learn as I go along and songs get better and better as I use this software. Six months in and all of a sudden I started hearing crackling noise within the recording mode only. I played the mix downed MP3 songs and sound great no crackling so I knew It was not blown speaker in my headphones. I never had any problems until this crackling sound driving me cr@zy found your video by goggling crackling noise coming from headphones only during recording within studio one 5. Then I see your video I had never known anything about block size or what it could do until I watched this video so I went to block size mine was set on 16. I changed it twice and when I set it for 128 the noise was gone thank you!!! I already had a headache trying to set up a mirror third monitor in my closet I'm making into a vocal booth. Long story but I had to come back sign in and leave a comment because it worked and made me happy. I needed to thank you! for this. If you find time check out my original songs I put on YouTube and let me know if you hear something I can improve on. I play, put all the parts in myself I used to play in a band in the club circuit and parties all over California many, many moons ago. I write Christian rock I guess you would call it end times stuff. Sorry for the long reply but this really helped me, Peace- Out and God Bless!!!
I think the problem I'm facing is I'm using plug-ins and I need to hear a near finished mix sound to get an idea if the track will sound good and if I need to re-record again. Can't get an idea how the song idea comes across at the low settings with the latency.
I have a 16 core Ryzen CPU with 16gb of memory and this software needs me to do what just to play without glitches? I got this in a free bundle and i feel im now just gonna purchase FL Studio..
more over im trying to use studio one 3 on a recent custom desktop. Or maybe i should just get a mac cause windows sucks
Thanks! your video was very helpful. Keep creating more awesome content!
Thanks for the great video! I have a question, though. I have a Presonus Audiobox 1818vsl and I cannot change the block size settings in Studio One 5 Artist. So I keep having 2048 samples and high latency which makes the performance impossible while recording. Is it something that I did wrong in the settings or is there something else I could do to fix this problem? thanks in advance and thanks for your great videos!!
THANKS. these issues appeared as I added tracks. Will my masterpiece be destroyed if i have the file saved as a song in Studio One 5, and I reinstall on a quad core 16 gig computer?
Thanks for this video.
You just answered my answer!
What if you can't change that setting? I'm on PC with a PreSonus Audiobox USB96
Thank you, THANK YOU,THANK YOU! It was killing me with the crackles in the background
Fantastic explanation! I watched other videos on the topic (too complex or just skipping some essential steps) and tried to figure this out myself for many hours, but this video motivated me again. Thanks and I’ll subscribe…curious to see more!
You explained it perfectly. My 8 gig pc wasn't handling the mpd218 correctly. Can't really record much without it closing out all of a sudden, and locking me out of the song.
THANK YOU BROTHA THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL I APPRECIATE IT 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Useful video. What if you record solely using vst instruments, what's the best approach? Will you get latency if you use a large buffer for vst instruments?
What about during recording the plug in is cracking?
I just leave it at the highest (4096) and enable low latency "Z" on the headphone cue mix and the master main outs while tracking. That way I don't have to change anything after that and I have my template all setup. I'm running AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with GTX 1660 super graphics. Should be more than enough for a medium to large project with vst's.
I believe you have it backwards. You want to set your block size as LOW as you can to avoid input latency.
Straight to the point! Thanks!
I have studio One five I have recorded with no snap crackle pop issues but now I am having snap crackle pop issues and the problem with the software that I have is when I first set it up it showed the USB audio box 96 from presonus on there now the recording playback device is Windows Media it doesn't give me another choice for anything else I don't know what's going on. Do you think that you can help me with this please thank you
