In studio one this brand new feature allows us to have zero recording latency. Simply put, it allows you to bypass plugin delay and record monitor with zero input latency. What zero latency monitoring means is that with projects where you've got tons of plugins, there is no longer any build up of latency. The cool thing about zero latency monitoring is in studio one you don't need any special hardware or audio interface for it to work. All you need is the Studio One software and you are good to go. This means that travel systems like laptops are capable of having insanely efficient midi record times without having to lug around any extra hardware. You can completely bypass any latency on a desired input or midi record track and thereby record with virtually instantaneous responsiveness and feedback. This is in fact a game changer. It is one of those features that makes me happy that I'm astudio one user. Recording midi is a dream, recording vocals is a dream. Green Z for instrument recording and Blue Z for audio/mic recording. It's a fantastic Studio One feature.
I've watched so many microphone reviews where people throw that term as well as others around like the common person knows what they mean. It drives me crazy that when folks review products yet speak in a manner that makes those listening feel stupid instead of explaining information so that everyone listening can understand. Anyway, thank you for the post. I appreciate it
I had to click that option. Thank you sir.
you resolved my problem 🙄 done✔ thanks😊
I lost it at DYSON VACUUM 🤣🤣🤣
Im using Presonus studio 5 i have properly configured windows system.I use JDXA synth as a music card i get results : On Input Latency 1.77 ms / 78 samples
Output Latency 4.88 ms / 215 samples the processor finally resting
I'll be a latency doc soon ha ha
that's great ... but I don't trust rthe 'auto' because its not zero 0 ms delay. but in reaper I can have 0 delay ms of my sound device; after working out the samples in delay of the unit (click track to audio , then duplicate and then send that duplicate out of sound device and record back in, then measure the distance between both tracks in samples and then enter that number in preferences) = Im trying to do the same in studio one but can't figure it out.
Thanks for great video.
I have 2.96ms of latency and I'm trying to improve hahaha... It's pretty cool that you're happy with 19ms :)
i love Studio One Artist with plugins support addon. I bought it because I could not afford Pro Tools. But over time, I have really grown to like this.
Hello. Thx for this info. I have a one question ... i see u have 4096 "device block size" or "buffer size" on your sound card. I have Focusrite Safiire 26 and i have only 2048. When i try to oversampling my plugins 2048 is to low for this process. Is a posibility to increse my buffer size, or to use some Asio with more buffer size, like u (4096 or more) ? Or u can recomand my orther sound card more powerfull ? In my pc i have 16giga rami and i7 but in task manager only use ... 5-6giga rami, and cup is around ... 40%... ?
(sorry cuz i dont know to write very well in eng)
You explained this exceptionally well
Thank You
It's still not enough for trying to record live midi drums do you think?
I have a question. How do I get back some of my record time in studio one 4 professional. I noticed today it said i only have 14 days left to record. Please help me
